The club will soon celebrate its centenary, having been founded in 1930 as a racing and social rides club, based in South West London. Over the years the club has migrated South with the membership now predominantly based in the boroughs of Elmbridge, Guildford, Mole Valley and neighbouring area with most of the rides being social rides within Surrey, Sussex, Hampshire, Kent, Berkshire and Oxfordshire.

The club runs a comprehensive program of mid-week rides on Tuesdays and Thursdays as well as Saturday rides to a wide variety of appealing destinations. Most rides are of 40-65 mile length and usually include a café stop for refreshments. The rides generally keep to smaller, quieter roads and lanes and can last for 4-6 hours dependent on length.

There are also cycle sportives, off-road / gravel rides and audax rides undertaken by club members. All rides are posted on the Spond app and show the route, distance and elevations for the ride. We have about 140 members with plenty of advice and support available for all members.

Our club membership is open to everyone and we hope that whatever your level of cycling ability, we can offer something for you. If you are considering joining the club we offer a few samples rides before committing to join, so please come along and enjoy the ride and the lovely local scenery.

Club members, once experienced, are encouraged to become ride leaders and also join in help running the club and social events.
